What is an excavator ripper?

The ripper has a replaceable working device with the function of crushing and loosening. It is divided into ripper for excavator and ripper for bulldozer. The ripper for excavator is also called bucket hook, and the ripper for bulldozer is also called tail hook. It is generally single-tooth, but also has two or three teeth, and has strong digging and cutting force. An integrally cast ripper tooth has ear holes on the upper part, which are hinged to the bucket rod and bucket cylinder respectively. The front end of the tooth tip has a tooth cap with hard alloy surfacing. When the piston rod of the hydraulic cylinder extends, the tooth tip is pushed to forcefully insert and turn the soil. It is used to dig cracked rocks, break frozen soil, and also used to dig asphalt pavement. It is suitable for crushing and splitting hard soil, semi-hard stone, and weathered stone to facilitate excavation and loading operations with a bucket.
